They meant to say:
"I'm not copying any handouts for you guys (go fuck yourself)."
I mean, how gullible do they think we are? I saw Uncle Markos (Dr. Leggas for those of you unfamiliar with my vernacular) carrying a stack of handouts up the stairs this morning he could use to murder a bull elephant. Hell, we all had Pauly's 20 page (non-front-and-back) handout in our notebooks by that point. Thats right, Pauly wasted 1300 pages just because he didn't want to set the copier to front and back copying. He presumably took 200 additional pages and wiped with them because thats just how badass Jim Pauly is.
When they said:
"Thats piracy, and I don't condone it."
They meant to say
"I don't really know what piracy is."
Selling something you bought to your friend isn't piracy, sorry. If I sold you my books after I was done with them it wouldn't be piracy, and the same applies to this dumb CD.
When they said:
"We will no longer accept challenges for exam questions."
They meant to say:
"I am infallible, and you will learn to love it."
If you modify the rules to make it so no one can challenge you, why don't you just come out with it -- you think you're never wrong. I'm not being sassy either -- if you close avenues through which students may feasibly challenge exam questions, you either think that you are never wrong or you're just being intellectually dishonest.

Granted i agree its stupid they require us to print stuff, but won't print it out for us, the PPS policy really is not to print handouts. Pauly and Leggas are PS and don't have the same policies so they can still get away with it. So really its whoever made the dumb policy for the PPS's fault. BOO

PS as soon as she said the piracy thing I was like really because I know lots of legitimate businesses that currently sell used CDs, DVDs and CD-ROMs. Guess Half price books will be going under soon at the hand of the COP!
I'm assuming by "Pauly and Leggas are PS," you mean "Pauly and Leggas are pimpin' sonsabitches for giving us our handouts" :P
ReplyDeleteYeah, the real fault lies with the PPS policy, but I should point out that Romanelli (man/myth/legend) gave us handouts and he's PPS
