If you didn't trek down to Frankfort for KPhA's Legislative Day, don't feel guilt. I say that because the entire exercise was basically the retirement home version of Schoolhouse Rock. They emphasized knowing your elective representative and how a bill becomes law. Hell, they even handed out grade-school-level pamphlets on how a bill becomes law. Thaaaaaaaaaaanks. The most classic moment was getting to see BoP Director Burleson for the second time this week and hearing him ask us what year most of us were. Seriously? There were about 35 PY2s there and he just spoke to us 4 days ago and can't pull that one from the databanks?
Slightly less classic was the fact that there were 50-some people from UKCOP and about 3 less-pleasant people from the Sullivan COP...at least one of whom looked like a rejected James Bond villain.
