The incident in question apparently happened after we all spiked the Law Exam into the turf and did the electric slide off the field – or maybe that’s just me. Some pharmtards had just a little bit more pain before they could start the holiday break…the math competency remediation. And honestly, after the week we had I could perfectly see someone just deciding to blow it off and take the letter grade drop. Someone else with that idea enter stage left. It’s a letter grade drop and if you had a B, that just makes this class match the rest of our transcript for the semester I suppose? My nominee for the “Dicking Over Hall of Fame” (Dr. M) enter stage left. Apparently if you don’t remediate the math competency exam it umm…makes your grade go down two letter grades…and stuff like that.

Yeah so…facemask…and I guess we’ll give
the Redskins 5 points or something.
Yeah, she made that shit up on the spot, which is a whole new level of obscene dickery – it’s transcendent asshattery. So Dr. M made the whole Math Competency Crowd wait on one person to show up after she changed the rules of the goddamn game. It’s beyond me why someone would even stoop to that level. Comrade Coffey’s personal theory was that she going to make sure we remembered her.

Oh, I’ll always remember.
Awesome:

That shit's an actual quote, look it up.

I have to say that I was a bit upset to say the least whe JT text me and woke me from my wonderful nap to tell me that I am now going to drop 2 letter grades. I mean WTF! I didn't study at all so I got a worse grade the second time then the first so she said, " Okay so you only drop one grade for not passing!" I was still to asleep to realize just how bad I was getting fucked over. Yep she takes the cake for that assholish move!
ReplyDeleteIf this 'new' rule is the route they want to go, they need to change the syllabus. The only way JoJo should've lost TWO letter grades is if she missed TWO class periods (skipping the remediation counting as one of the two). To my knowledge, she had not missed any labs.
ReplyDeleteFrom PPS 939 Syllabus:
Failure to achieve mastery on the pharmaceutical calculations core competency will result in the final course grade being lowered by one letter grade. Upon the discretion of the instructors, students may be given an opportunity to remediate the calculations core assessment. In such an event, failure to take the remediation exam will be considered as not fully participating in a scheduled lab activity. (Refer to Section F, Participation in Course Activities.)
Section F. Attendance/Punctuality:
Attendance at all laboratory sessions is mandatory. Students absent from their laboratory activities will receive a grade of 0 for the day... Students missing more than two (2) class meetings without a valid excuse will have their final letter grade decremented one letter grade.
Now, I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but to me, that states you have to miss 2 lab times to drop a letter grade. It says NOTHING about dropping a letter grade just for skipping remediation.
I'm just sayin'.
Glad to see someone went the extra mile to show how messed up this was :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a comment on here that said Mitchell is a pure bitch? Which she is. But where'd the comment go? Are you going to delete such a comment because you fear some reprisal Manco?
